PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TK-HYDROMAX® 2001 DAMPPROOF COATING is a plastic solution formulation for dampproofing above or below-grade poured concrete, CMU and precast foundation walls and preventing the penetration of water and other chemicals. Unlike asphalt-based products, TKHYDROMAX® 2001 penetrates the surface to form a mechanical bond that is stronger than the concrete itself and will show no peeling, blistering or bubbling.
While TK-HYDROMAX® 2001 DAMPPROOF COATING was designed to be applied to the exterior of the wall, its neutral coloring allows for application to the interior as a decorative coating with additional moisture/vapor retarding benefits.
Basic Uses:
For commerical or residential above or below-grade foundation walls, CMU or poured concrete.
Coverage:
Coverage rate is inversely affected by the texture and porosity of the substrate. One coat is sufficient at 45-63 sq. ft. per gallon (25-36 wet mils = 10-13 dry mils). Typical coverage for tight block walls is 45-50 sq. ft. per gallon. Typical coverage for poured walls is 63 sq. ft. per gallon. Any area that is thin may be recoated.
