Nomaco 1/2" X 6" X 10' Nomaflex Expansion Joint

Nomaflex is a closed-cell polypropylene foam product that is setting a new standard of performance in concrete expansion and contraction joint material. Nomaflex performs better, installs faster and results in less waste for distributors and installers. It is used in residential, commercial, civil, municipal and industrial applications. Common residential, commercial and industrial installations using Nomaflex include, but are not limited to: sidewalks, streets, driveways, highways and airport runways.

Named as one of the 2017 Most Innovative Products at World of Concrete, Nomaflex is easy to handle and extends the service life of concrete by acting as an insulator for contraction and expansion joints. It can be used with hot-pour or cold-applied sealants. Nomaflex prevents three-sided adhesion and can be used without a bond breaker. It also has no odor or sticky residue and is resistant to oils, gas, salts and other chemicals.

Nomaflex can be stored outside and will not absorb water, break, flake or leach. It is flexible, yet rigid enough to be passed across a wet pour and can be used as a form. Nomaflex is less expensive to install and can be installed using traditional installation methods.

Nomaflex was tested per ASTM D 545 and complies with ASTM D 1751 for extrusion, compression recovery and water absorption.

The intrinsic properties of Nomaflex include:

  • Waterproof
  • Ultra lightweight
  • Flexible
  • Does not impede sealant cure time
  • Durable
  • Clean product
  • Less breakage
  • Inert
  • Easy to use, same installation methods as currently used
  • Can be used with hot-pour and cold-applied sealants
  • Recyclable / reusable
  • Made in USA
